LACONIA, N.H. — Police in New Hampshire have arrested 16 people in a drug raid that sought 39, and a police chief says it’s getting harder to find the suspects.

Chief Matt Canfield in Laconia tells The Laconia Sun police are seeing more people suspected of using and dealing drugs at the same time. He said they are more transient.

Canfield said the arrests were made Monday and Tuesday in Meredith and Belmont, in addition to Laconia. Most of the charges involved the sale of meth, and possession of narcotic and prescription drugs.
