A robotics team made up of members from Columbus North and Columbus East high schools is among 25 teams competing Saturday at Southport High School.
The Columbus team, GalacTech, will compete in the For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology, or FIRST, robotics competition CAGE match. The off-season event at the high school, 971 E. Banta Road, is intended to give seniors who are part of a participating team an opportunity to train new students.
The free event begins at 9 a.m. with opening ceremonies and is open to the public.
