HOPE
Robert M. Wilkinson, 60, of Hope, passed away at 7:20 p.m. on Monday, October 16, 2017 at Millers Merry Manor in Hope.
He was born on September 8, 1957 in Seymour, the son of Robert H. and Florence (Kirby) Wilkinson.
Robert resided in Decatur County the majority of his life.
He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, movies and his dog, Jack.
Robert is survived by his father, Robert H. (Linda) Wilkinson of North Vernon; daughter, Carrie Wilkinson of Monson, Massachusetts; granddaughter, Olivia Wilkinson of Monson, Massachusetts; sisters, Jeanne (Mike) Prebeck of Columbus, Leigh Anne Taylor of Greenwood and Laura DeArcia of North Vernon, brother, Gary Wilkinson of Noblesville; aunts, Wilma (Bill) Ferrill and Doris Smith, both of Westport; nieces, Tonya Kroger of Westport and Brandi (Frankie) Poole of Columbus, nephews, Chad (Traci) Kroger of Westport, Nick Wilkinson and Brandon (Kira) Wilkinson, both of Noblesville, Derek Taylor of Greensburg, Devin Taylor of Westport, Drew Taylor of Greensburg, Robert Ash, Jessen Ash and Christopher DeArcia, all of North Vernon; and several great-nieces and -nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Florence Wilkinson.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. on Sunday, October 22, 2017 at the Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport. The family will receive visitors on Sunday, October 22, 2017 from 1 p.m. until the time of service at 3 p.m. p.m. at the funeral home. Following Robert’s wishes, after the services he will be cremated and a private burial will follow at a later date.
