House Republicans seek legislative interns

Internship applications for the Indiana House Republican program for the 2018 legislative session are due Oct. 31.

The program at the Indiana Statehouse in downtown Indianapolis offers paid, spring-semester internships and are full-time positions Monday through Friday from January to mid-March.

College-level students participating in the internship program work one-on-one with state legislators.

College sophomores, juniors and seniors, in addition to graduate or law students and recent graduates, are eligible to apply. Students can apply for internships in areas such as legislative, communications, video production, policy, fiscal policy and technology.

Interns also will get paid $750 every two weeks and can earn academic credit through their college or university. Other than submitting an application, students also must include an official transcript, resume and two letters of recommendation.
