Columbus resident injured in wreck south of Seymour

Two people were airlifted to regional hospitals Saturday afternoon after they were hurt when they were ejected from their vehicle after it rolled at last three times south of Seymour, police report.

Matthew B. Wolf, 32, of Columbus was treated for leg, arm and head injuries by Jackson County Emergency Medical Services personnel before being flown to University of Louisville, according to Jackson County Adam Nicholson’s report.

Wolf was a passenger in a 2006 Dodge Durango driven by Amy J. Little, 26, of Commiskey, who was treated for head injuries and taken to Schneck Medical Center in Seymour after the wreck, reported at 1:15 p.m. in the 9000 block of East County Road 50N, Nicholson said.

Little was later flown to St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, Nicholson said.

Nicholson said Little was driving west on County Road 50, a gravel road, in the Chestnut Bottoms area when she drove across a concrete bridge and lost control of her vehicle after returning to the gravel road. The truck left the south of the road and rolled at least three times before winding up on its roof.

Officer Ron Henley assisted with the wreck and investigation.
