Rose and Bill Elmer of Brownstwon recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with a trip to Gettysburg and Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
The Elmers were married on Oct. 19, 1957 at Zion Lutheran Church in Ferndale, Michigan.
She retired as a church secretary and Bill Elmer retired after a career as an automotive and truck designer.
The Elmers have three children, Vickie Elmer of Detroit, Michigan, Lori Hall of Lansing, Kansas and Ben Elmer of Orlando, Florida; 10 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
