Dwayne Oyler, a 2017 Exhibit Columbus Miller Prize winner for the “The Exchange” installation, will talk about his design from 2 to 3 p.m. Oct. 29 at the Irwin Conference Center, 500 Washington St.
Oyler, who with Jenny Wu make up Oyler Wu Collaborative of Los Angeles, fabricated a new space within the downtown Columbus site by completing the geometries implied by three canopies, legacies of the Irwin Conference Center’s history as a drive-up bank from 1954 to 2009.
Visitors are invited to experience the installation — a white sheet-metal-and-tubes structure — with one of its designers during this free community talk.
“The Exchange” is one of five Miller Prize temporary installations featured in Exhibit Columbus through Nov. 26.
