CAMDEN, S.C. — South Carolina deputies say three men have been arrested for breaking into two stores and leading authorities on a high-speed chase.

Kershaw County deputies tell media outlets they were called to a Dollar General store at around 3:30 a.m. Wednesday about a break-in.

While investigating, officers got a call about an alarm at a different Dollar General eight miles away. Officers say they tried to pull over a car in the parking lot, but it kept going.

Eventually, officers used stop sticks to disable the vehicle, where they found cash register drawers, deposit bags, surveillance systems and burglary tools. Forty-four-year-old Jermaine Ford, 36-year-old Qhuan Miller and 30-year-old Chadwick Miller were arrested and charged with second-degree violent burglary and grand larceny.

It wasn’t known if they had attorneys.
