MACON, Ga. — Authorities say shots were fired through the front door of a Georgia woman’s apartment, leaving her in critical condition.

A Bibb County Sheriff’s Office news release says 21-year-old Alexus Burnette heard beating at the front door of her East Macon apartment on Saturday night, and moments later, shots were fired, striking her in the left leg.

The Telegraph of Macon reports witnesses told deputies that two men in hoodies fired the shots. Authorities say one man had a long gun and the other was carrying a handgun.

Burnette was taken to a hospital, where she is listed in critical condition. Further details have not been released.
