RENO, Nev. — An elderly man has died in an early morning house fire north of Reno.

Truckee Meadows Fire Chief Charlie Moore says the fire apparently started in the attic of the home in Lemmon Valley at about 5:30 a.m. Monday.

He says they’re still investigating the cause of the blaze and the victim’s cause of death. He was found deceased inside the home and may have died from smoke inhalation.

Authorities say he was the only person living at the residence. His name has not been released.
