The northbound lanes of I-65 near the Walesboro exit have reopened after a chain-reaction accident involving four semis.
Columbus police said the crash involved two semis that collided, and two other semis got into an accident while slowing to avoid the first accident at about 10:45 a.m. One of those semis in the second accident collided with one in the first accident before all vehicles stopped, blocking the interstate for several hours.
Traffic was being diverted off the interstate at the 64 mile marker, police said.
