COLUMBUS, Ohio — Two people have been killed and a third person wounded in a shooting at an apartment complex in Columbus.

Police responded to the complex Tuesday afternoon on reports that multiple people had been shot.

When officers arrived they found three victims. Seventeen-year-old JoJo Holloway was pronounced dead at the scene. Another victim, 31-year-old Brent Black, was taken to a hospital, where he later died. A third victim was hospitalized with gunshot wounds to her upper body and is expected to survive.

Police say the suspect, 21-year-old Jordan Aekins, fled the scene on foot. He was taken into custody in a nearby marsh area a short time later and has been charged with two counts of murder. It’s unclear if he has an attorney who can comment on the charges.
