NEW YORK — The New York Police Department says a man has been shot to death while waiting at a bus stop in Brooklyn.

Police say 27-year-old Melquan Henderson was found unresponsive by patrol officers responding to reports of shots fired. Emergency services transported Henderson to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The NYPD says there are no arrests and the investigation is continuing.

Witness Michael King tells the Daily News Henderson was a good kid who “just goes to work and comes home.”
