Donner swimmers 1st in events at own invitational

Several Donner Swim Club athletes won events last weekend at Donner’s 12-and-Under Invitational.

Karissa Bevis won the girls 11-12 50-yard freestyle, 100 freestyle, 50 breaststroke and 200 individual medley. Bevis, Josie Franks, Katherine Treesh and Kyndal Boschen took the 200 freestyle relay.

Daniel Utterback won the boys 11-12 50 freestyle, 100 freestyle, 200 freestyle, 50 butterfly and 100 butterfly. Isaac Proffitt, Brock Smith, Keegan Harris and Conner Hoffman captured the 200 freestyle relay.

Ainsley Sherlock won the girls 9-10 50 breaststroke, 100 freestyle, 50 breaststroke, 100 breaststroke and 50 butterfly. Gretchen Babb took the 25 freestyle and 25 backstroke. Abby Proffitt, Sherlock, Maggie Treesh and Nicole Brault captured the 200 freestyle relay.

Keaton Stephenson won the boys 9-10 25 freestyle and 50 backstroke. Hudson Eicher took the 25 backstroke and 25 breaststroke. Pranav Nalole captured the 25 butterfly.

Connelly Furnish won the girls 7-8 50 breaststroke and 100 breaststroke. Japneet Kaur took the 25 freestyle, Nitya Garg captured the 25 breaststroke and Grier Lane won the 50 butterfly.

Barrett Harris won the boys 7-8 25 butterfly. Arya Dave, Slader Elwood, Harris and Isaiah Church took the 200 freestyle relay.

Ella Ousley won the 6-and-|under girls 25 freestyle. Xavier Zhang captured the 6-and-under boys 25 freestyle.

Hockey

Icemen fall twice

The Columbus Icemen dropped a pair of games last weekend, falling to Central Indiana 5-0 and Carmel Gold 3-0.

Cam Stattenfield recorded 29 saves in 38 minutes, and Ben Kushner posted six saves over 7 minutes against Central Indiana. Evan Kunzman played the entire game in the net against Carmel Gold and had 48 saves.

Bowling

Bowler rolls 253 game

Rickie Wilson Jr. notched the men’s high game (253) and series (721), and Peggy Smith had the women’s high game (190) and series (549) in the Wednesday Night Mixed League.

Berkshire Hathaway notched the team high game (965), and Bush’s Market had the team high series (2,725).

Maybe Next Week leads the team standings at 44-20.
