Three arrested after traffic stop on State Road 11

Columbus police arrested three people on drug-related charges after a traffic stop.

Police received a report of a reckless driver at 9:40 a.m. Saturday and later stopped the vehicle on State Road 11 near Dawson St. Officers saw that a back seat passenger, Samantha A. Wilson, 23, Nashville, had two syringes and was arrested, said Lt. Matt Harris, Columbus Police Department spokesman.

The driver, Mark Hadley, 54, Columbus and front seat passenger, Trenton M. Dilk, 24, Nashville, left the vehicle after officers saw a large knife near the car’s front seats.

Officers also located a large amount of drug paraphernalia and white powder in the vehicle that tested positive for methamphetamine, Harris said.

Hadley was arrested on a preliminary charge of possession of methamphetamine and Wilson was arrested on two counts of possession of a legend drug injection device, Harris said. Dilk was arrested on charges of dealing in methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia, Harris said.
