Eldra ‘Bub’ Pack

Eldra “Bub” Pack, 88, of Columbus died at 11:12 a.m. on Sunday, October 29, 2017 at Columbus Regional Hospital.

Mr. Pack had worked at Stadler’s Packing Co. and retired after 33 years. He then went on to work 20 years at Raft to Rafters.

He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed walking in the woods, gardening, and taking drives through the countryside.

He was born on February 22, 1929 in Whitesburg, Kentucky the son of John and Pearlie Pendleton Pack.

On September 26, 1953 he married Maelean “Mae” Cornett.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years; a son, Dan (Cheryl) Pack of Newburgh, Indiana; grandchildren, Ian (Casia) Pack of Cincinnati, Ohio and Amy Pack of Newburgh; three nephews and one niece.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, and one brother.

A memorial service will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Friday at Barkes, Weaver, & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Pastor James R. Horton officiating. Family and friends may call from 11 a.m. to service time Friday at the funeral home.

Inurnment will follow at Garland Brook Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
