Fish fry Friday to benefit Turning Point

A fish fry from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday will benefit Turning Point Domestic Violence Services.

American Legion Post No. 24 at 2515 25th St., Columbus, will host the fundraiser, according to organizers.

Meals, priced at $8, will include fish, potato salad, slaw and beans. Diners may call in orders for delivery of up to five meals at 812-376-7036.

Turning Point works toward the prevention and elimination of dating and domestic violence and operates a shelter and a variety of educational, awareness and other programs. The nonprofit agency serves Bartholomew, Brown, Decatur, Jackson, Jennings, Johnson and Shelby counties.

The local American Legion post has supported a range of local programs and causes, from Our Hospice of South Central Indiana to local food pantries.
