Taylorsville man critically injured in U.S. 31 accident

A Taylorsville man is listed in critical condition after a two-vehicle accident at North U.S. 31 and West Marketplace Drive in Edinburgh.

Bartholomew County Sheriff deputies said Jeremy Osborne, 40, Taylorsville, was driving south on U.S. 31 near Marketplace Drive in a 2014 Chrysler 300 when his vehicle rear-ended a Toyota 4-Runner driven by Bruce Beadle, age unavailable, Benton, Illinois.

Osborne was unconscious and trapped inside his burning vehicle when an unidentified off-duty police officer and a tow truck driver stopped to assist, deputies said.

The tow truck driver put out the fire while the police officer entered the vehicle and removed Osborne, deputies said.

OSBORNE

Osborne was unresponsive and was flown by Lifeline to Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis, where he is listed in critical condition, deputies said. Beadle was not injured, deputies said.
