SANTA ANA, Calif. — Police say a 17-year-old shooting victim who staggered into a Southern California restaurant with a gunshot wound to his leg was rushed to a hospital and is expected to survive.

Santa Ana Police Sgt. John Franks says the teen is not cooperating with detectives investigating the shooting Tuesday night.

Franks says officials haven’t determined where the shooting occurred, and a suspect has not been identified. He says it’s unknown if the incident is gang-related.

The Orange County Register reports Wednesday that the teen’s injuries are non-life-threatening..
