ELIZABETH, N.J. — A street shooting in northern New Jersey has left two women dead.

Union County prosecutors say Elizabeth police found 22-year-old Rah-Zhane Lee, of Roselle, and 24-year-old Elizabeth resident Shaniquah Richardson when they responded to reports of shots fired early Wednesday.

Both women were taken to a hospital but were pronounced dead there a short time later.

A motive for the shooting remains under investigation.

Authorities declined to provide further details on the shooting, including what type of weapon may have been used.

No arrests have been made.
