SEAT PLEASANT, Md. — Two people have died in a house fire in the Maryland suburbs of the nation’s capital.
Mark Brady, spokesman for the Prince George’s County fire department, said on his Twitter account that firefighters were called to the home in Seat Pleasant around 5:30 a.m. Thursday.
Brady said the fire was extinguished in about 10 minutes.
But when firefighters entered the home just before 6 a.m., they found two bodies inside.
Brady said the cause of the fire and the identities of the victims are still under investigation.
The fire occurred in a two-story home on Foote Street in Seat Pleasant, which sits on the border with the District of Columbia.
