BAY ST. LOUIS, Miss. — A man has been indicted in a 2016 double slaying on the Mississippi coast.

Hancock County assistant prosecutor Crosby Parker says a grand jury indicted Myrick Curtis Laneaux on charges including two counts of murder, aggravated assault and motor vehicle theft.

News outlets report Laneaux was arrested last year in the slayings of 28-year-old Kristina Quintini and 29-year-old Norris Demetrius Mueller. Police found them shot to death in July 2016 while responding to a missing person report at a subdivision in Bay St. Louis.

Authorities say a 6-month-old child was also found with a gunshot wound to the shoulder. The child survived.

Laneaux shouted, “I’m innocent. Not guilty,” as he left the courtroom after a bond hearing last November.
