PHOENIX — Authorities say 2 teenage brothers are dead after they were struck by a car in north Phoenix Friday night.

Phoenix media report police said the 15-year-old boy was pronounced dead at the scene and his 17-year-old brother was rushed to a hospital with critical injuries but died there.

Police Sgt. Mercedes Fortune said witnesses reported the teens were fighting in the roadway when they were struck. Fortune said the driver of the car remained at the scene.
