FARMINGTON, N.H. — Police in several New Hampshire communities are checking on residents without power and some are bringing people coffee and doughnuts.
Pat Plunkett of Farmington tells WMUR-TV he was surprised when police knocked on his door, bringing coffee and doughnuts along with words of encouragement.
Plunkett says it was nice.
Police chief John Drury says people have gone through a lot in the past few days and some could be without power for several more days.
Drury says officers want to show people they care and they’re there to help.
As of early afternoon Saturday about 2,000 New Hampshire electric customers were without power.
