Free rides were given away all day on ColumBUS buses in memory of the late John McCauley, a tribute to his years of service on Columbus Transit Advisory Committee.


Quinco Behavioral Health Systems received a $950,000 Housing and Urban Development grant to construct a 21-unit housing complex for people with long-term emotional and mental health problems.


Cloudy and chilly weather was predicted for the city election, which local Republican and Democratic leaders agreed could be decided by a large independent block of eligible voters that turned up in the pre-election polls conducted by both parties.
