BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Authorities say an Alabama man has been charged after a toddler in his care ended up with severe injuries.

According to court records, 27-year-old Christopher Dale Dickinson was arrested Sunday and charged with aggravated child abuse.

News outlets report the 2-year-old had severe burns and bruising all over his or her body. Charging documents state that the abuse happened on Oct. 30. However, the records did not disclose how the child was injured or Dickinson’s relationship to the child.
