BOSTON — U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders wasn’t on the ballot Tuesday, but his supporters are claiming victories in several communities in Massachusetts.

The group Our Revolution Massachusetts says candidates it supported — both incumbents and challengers — won in races from Cambridge to Greenfield.

Our Revolution is an offshoot of Sanders’ unsuccessful presidential campaign last year.

Last month Sanders, an independent from Vermont, held a rally in Somerville to stump for candidates running for city council, school board and the board of aldermen in Somerville and Cambridge.

In Somerville, the group’s local affiliate says that all twelve candidates it supported won their elections, including four challengers to incumbent candidates.

In Cambridge, the group says four local candidates it endorsed won.

The group also claimed victories in Framingham, Worcester, Newton, Medford and Malden.
