CHARLESTON, S.C. — A South Carolina woman diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer has died just days after wedding her fiance in a hospital ceremony.

Local media outlets report Kizzie Priestly’s husband says in a Facebook post that his bride died Saturday.

David Hall and Priestly got married November 2 at Trident Medical Center near Charleston.

They were originally slated to marry several days earlier and take off for a honeymoon to Walt Disney World. But doctors said worsening cancer in the bride’s lungs, breasts and brain meant she needed to be hospitalized, so staff at Trident came together to celebrate their nuptials.
