Previous meeting: The teams have never met.

Coaches: Bob Gaddis is 301-134 in his 39th year, including 183-34 in his 17th year at East; Chris Barrett is 101-135 in his 23rd year, including 73-103 in his 16th year at Terre Haute North.

What to watch for: The Class 5A No. 2 Olympians will be looking for their second consecutive regional title and their sixth in the past seven years. The teams have played two common opponents. The Patriots beat Bloomington North 42-11 and lost to Columbus North 38-14. East beat the Cougars 42-17 and lost to the Bull Dogs 34-17. If East wins tonight, it would visit the winner of the Cathedral at Bloomington South game in next week’s semistate.
