North hosting Comets Night; senior will take orders

Tonight’s Columbus North home girls basketball game against Martinsville will be Comets Night. Comets players who attend will be recognized on the court at halftime of the varsity game.

Also tonight, senior Kelsey Patberg will be taking orders for a custom T-shirt and holiday pumpkin pies that both will be sold Nov. 21 at the Heritage Christian at North boys basketball game, which is a “Coaches vs. Cancer” game. Patberg is taking “pre-orders” for T-shirts and/or pies (coming from 7K Farms) at the girls game Friday or anytime between Friday and Nov. 21.

Brown County State Park to host Hilly Half

The Second Annual Brown County YMCA Hilly Half will be Saturday in Brown County State Park.

There will be a 5K, 10K and half marathon. Cost is $30 to $70, depending on the race, and includes a finisher medal, shirt, free post-race food, free pint glass with race logo, and a free first pint of beer for those 21 and older.
