INDIANAPOLIS — Aaron Brennan tied a career high with 18 points on 8-for-12 shooting and grabbed six rebounds and T.J. Henderson scored 10 points to lead IUPUI to a 75-43 lead over Division III Anderson on Monday night.
The Jaguars never trailed and took an early 25-13 lead after a 3-pointer by Ron Patterson with 8:07 remaining before the break.
IUPUI (1-1) led 41-21 at halftime on 17-for-34 shooting (50 percent) compared to 6 for 29 (20.7 percent) by the Ravens. Anderson made 13 field goals for the entire game and the Jaguars finished with nine blocked shots.
The Ravens scored the first five points of the second half, Brennan responded with five straight of his own during an 8-0 run to push the lead to 23.
Malik Laffoon led Anderson with 13 points and was the lone Anderson player in double figures.
