SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — A 20-year-old Springfield man has been charged with second-degree murder in the death of his half-brother.

Brandon M. Johnson was charged Monday after his half-brother, 23-year-old Danny Dayton, was shot to death Saturday. Johnson was arrested Sunday in Webster County.

The Springfield News-Leader reports the two lived together. A probable cause statement said the shooting occurred as the brothers were leaving for work.

Johnson is being held in the Greene County Jail on $500,000 bond. He does not have an attorney listed in online records.
