TUCSON, Ariz. — Police say a suspect has been arrested in the shooting death of a Tucson teenager last year.

Tucson police announced Wednesday that 19-year-old Tristan Beardsley is being held on suspicion of first-degree murder, aggravated robbery and aggravated assault.

Beardsley was taken into custody Tuesday by members with the U.S. Marshals Task Force in east Tucson.

Police say Beardsley is accused of fatally shooting 15-year-old Sephaul Booker near a trash container in May 2016.

Booker was declared dead at the scene.

Police detectives obtained information that allegedly connected Beardsley to the case and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

It was unclear Wednesday night if Beardsley has a lawyer yet.
