FARGO, N.D. — The North Dakota Department of Transportation is adding 32 new snow plows meant to make clearing the roads more efficient.

KFGO radio reports that the new equipment combines the traditional front plow with a tow plow, which is pulled behind the truck.

The new plows can clear a much wider path through snow and also apply brine solution to the roadway.

The new plows will be deployed at all eight of the state’s DOT offices.
