CHARLESTON, S.C. — Authorities have identified the man who died after he was shot at a South Carolina nightclub earlier this week.

The Charleston County Coroner’s Office told local media that 26-year-old Duante Blake of Johns Island died from a gunshot wound suffered Sunday morning at a club on Wadmalaw Island.

Deputies had been called to a shooting shortly before 4 a.m. Sunday and found blood near the club entrance. Investigators say Blake had been driven to a nearby gas station where he died.
