CINNAMINSON, N.J. — Authorities say a high school student died after the stolen car she was riding in collided with a tractor-trailer during a police chase.

Police say the stolen BMW crashed into the back of the trailer around 10:30 a.m. Wednesday on Route 130 in Cinnaminson. Policde say the driver had sped up after police tried to stop the vehicle moments earlier because it was reported stolen.

The passenger is identified as 15-year-old Kassidy Bush. She was a student at Palmyra High School.

The 17-year-old male driver was taken to Cooper University Hospital where he’s listed in critical but stable condition. No charges have been filed at this point.

The Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office is investigating.
