SALT LAKE CITY — The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints briefly posted online a restricted handbook that contains instructions for stake presidents and bishops.

Church spokesman Eric Hawkins said the faith’s “Handbook 1” was posted on Wednesday due to a technical error that has been corrected. The handbook was taken offline and replaced with Handbook 2, which was released to the public seven years ago.

The restricted handbook deals with sensitive church procedures, such as finances, temple activities and church discipline.
