MADISON, Wis. — The Wisconsin Democratic Party has named two new executive directors to lead operations of the party heading into the 2018 election.

George Gillis will serve as executive director of political affairs while Breianna Hasenzahl-Reeder will be executive director of operations and party affairs.

Gillis had been working as political director at the party and previously worked for various lawmakers in the state Legislature. Hasenzahl-Reeder had been working for the party as its compliance and operations director.

They replace Jason Sidener, who left the job in September and whose home was searched by police that same month as part of an investigation into the death of a woman who died at the hospital after being in his apartment.

Police reported finding crack cocaine and other drug paraphernalia in Sidener’s home. He has not been charged with any crime.
