TUCSON, Ariz. — Tucson police say they have arrested a man wanted in the slaying of his girlfriend.

Authorities say U.S. Marshals located 43-year-old Mario Jesus Dorame on Wednesday in the area of Grant and Swan roads.

He was taken into custody without incident and booked into Pima County Jail for first-degree murder.

Investigators have been searching for him since they found the body of 52-year-old Maria Escobedo in his home on Oct. 1.

Police say the two were in a relationship.

They have not disclosed how Escobedo was killed or a possible motive.
