CHARLESTON, S.C. — Authorities have released the name of a man who was found beaten to death beneath an interstate overpass in South Carolina.

Local media outlets reported that the victim found Nov. 2 beneath Interstate 26 in Charleston was 63-year-old Larry Thompson of Myrtle Beach.

Twenty-five-year-old Quinton Lee Capers was arrested last week and charged with murder in Thompson’s death.

Thompson’s girlfriend had reported him missing.

Police say both men were seen Nov. 1 at a store.

Police say sometime later that day or early Nov. 2, the men were involved in a struggle and Thompson was beaten with a piece of concrete and stabbed with a screwdriver.
