James L.M. Turner, 75, of Franklin, passed away on Friday, November 10, 2017.

James was born on February 18, 1942 in Columbus, to his parents, James Turner and Ruby Turner-Taylor.

James worked for Warner Lambert in the marketing department. In 2003, he retired after 30 years of service.

He was a very generous man and loved contributing to charities such as the Easter Seals Organization and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

James was an avid fan of Ohio State Buckeyes sports and enjoyed spending time with his family.

Those left behind to cherish his memory include his children, Terry (Kori Pocock) Turner, Tammy (Tyler) Hemingway and Tessa (Mark) Wentz; one sister, Patty Osborne; five brothers, Carl (Vicki Bode) Turner, Charles (Nora) Turner, Ronald (Laura) Taylor, Larry (Nita) Taylor and David (Melinda) Taylor; companion, Claire Brown; and former wife, Mary Turner; six grandchildren, one great-grandchild; several nieces; nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews.

Preceding James in death were his parents; and two sisters, Corrine Duckworth and Pauline Elam.

A memorial gathering will be Tuesday, November 21, 2017 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Hamilton Center Community Room, 2501 Lincoln Park Drive, Columbus.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Jessen Funeral Home, Franklin Chapel.
