Extension meeting open to residents

The Bartholomew County Extension Board and staff of Purdue Extension Bartholomew County are providing residents an opportunity to learn more about their work when they host their annual meeting.

Known as an Extension Showcase, the annual meeting will be 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Nov. 30 in the Community Building at the Bartholomew County 4-H Fairgrounds, 750 W. County Road 200S.

Bartholomew County residents may learn more about Purdue Extension at the event and its work in agriculture and natural resources, health and human sciences, 4-H youth development and community development. Booths will highlight individual programs, including Block Party, Food Link, Extension Homemakers, Master Gardeners and 4-H.

Registration for 4-H will be conducted, and guests may sample recipes from Extension’s health and human sciences programs. Door prizes will be awarded.

Voting for extension board members will be during the event until 6 p.m. The Outstanding Service to Extension Award will be presented at 6 p.m., followed by the announcement of new members for the extension board.
