PHILADELPHIA — Authorities say a minivan driver died after he was shot while behind the wheel and crashed into a commercial building in west Philadelphia.
The shooting occurred around 6 p.m. Saturday on North 52nd Street.
Authorities say a gunman opened fire on the 29-year-old man, who was struck twice on his right side. He was taken to a hospital but died there a short time later.
The man’s name has not been disclosed. But he apparently was alone in the vehicle when the shooting occurred.
The gunman remained at large Sunday.
No other injuries were reported in the shooting. A motive remains under investigation.
