Michele Marcoux

Michele Marcoux, 68, of Scipio, died Tuesday, November 21, 2017 with her family at her side.

She was born December 14, 1948 in Springfield, Massachusetts to the late Robert and Marion (Davis) Busha.

She is also preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Marcoux, Sr.; grandson, Joshua Marcoux; and sisters, Linda Blackburn and Cynthia Barnes.

Michele was a strong principled, loving, knowledgeable, disciplined, Christian mother. She taught Sunday school and was a writer of children’s stories and freelance human interest stories for the North Vernon Plain Dealer, and was the responder in a Dear Abby-type article.

She also loved to crochet and sew and owned her own shop for a time. She also used her sewing talents to care for others, making blankets to give to children in the hospital even at her weakest.

The thing most important to her was her family, and she loved and cared for them as nothing less than a matriarch.

She is survived by her sons, Daniel Marcoux, Joseph Marcoux (Jill), Ronald Marcoux Jr. (Krishna) and Paul Marcoux (Wilma); sister, Pamela Barnes, brother, Richard Busha; grandchildren, Danielle, Alex, Max, Ashley, Abby, Madison, Jean, Daniel, Tyler, Cailianna, Jeremy and Nick; and great-grandson, Dade.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at Scipio United Methodist Church, 6050 State Highway 7, Scipio, IN 47273. Her funeral service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at the church with burial to follow at Bear Creek Cemetery.
