How sweet it is! Columbus East bringing home a state championship

Call them champions.

The Columbus East Olympians captured the school’s third state football title tonight in a 42-28 victory over Kokomo at Lucas Oil Stadium.

Three Olympians — Jamon Hogan, Josh Major and Jaedin Miller — each ran for more 100 yards.

The football team and fans will have a welcome party tonight at the high school after the team bus returns. Best guess: 11 p.m.

Columbus East’s Jaedin Miller (132 yards), Jamon Hogan (112) and Josh Major (107) became the first trio from the same team to eclipse 100 yards each in any state championship game.
