FORT COLLINS, Colo. — J.D. Paige scored 19 points, Che Bob had 13 points and 12 rebounds and Colorado State beat Northwestern State 72-60 on Friday night.
Paige was 6 of 10 from the floor and made three 3-pointers. Bob was 4-of-10 shooting and had five assists and four steals. Raquan Mitchell added 16 points for Colorado State (3-3). Deion James chipped in 10 points.
Iziahiah Sweeney scored 14 points to lead Northwestern State (1-5). Jalan West added 13 points for the Demons, who shot 21 of 56 (37.5 percent) from the field.
The Rams had a four-point lead at halftime, and opened the second half on a 23-10 surge for a 59-42 advantage with eight minutes left. Mitchell scored eight points during the stretch.
The game was tied 23-23 when Paige hit a 3-pointer and Mitchell scored four points as part of a 9-2 run and the Rams led the rest of the way.
