Three-time NASCAR champion and Columbus resident Tony Stewart is no longer an eligible bachelor.
Stewart, 46, proposed to girlfriend Pennelope Jimenez on Thanksgiving Day. He posted a photo of her hand with an engagement ring on his Twitter feed with the caption, “She said YES!”
Columbus residents saw Jimenez, a model, in December when she rode in the same car as Stewart during the Festival of Lights parade in downtown Columbus.
When Stewart was asked in February if a change in his single status was coming, he declined to answer, but said of Jimenez, “She’s a pretty special person.”
