Donald Keith Williams

BRADY, TEXAS

Donald Keith Williams was born in Greensburg, Indiana on August 29th, 1933 to Herman Edgar Williams and Fern Wheldon. He went to his savior on Monday, November 13, 2017 at 1:45 am. He was married to Wanda Marshall Williams on April 11th, 1954 in Brady, Texas. They were married for 62 years and had two sons, Donald Keith Williams Jr. and Steven Ray Williams.

He was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and a life member of the Lions Club and a Melvin Jones Fellow for his special service in the Lions Club. He served as president for 3 years and started the Lioness Club in Columbus, Indiana. He joined the U.S. Air Force on December 10th of 1951 and was sent to Korea in 1954 to 1955. Donald was honorably discharged from the Air Force on the December 19th, 1955 in San Antonio, Texas.

Donald is survived by his loving wife, Wanda Williams; two sons, Donald Williams Jr., and Steven Williams; one sister, Clara Baker. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Donald Keith Williams III and wife, Sharon; Amanda and husband, Kenny Lewis; Nathan and wife, Sonja; Courtney, Perry and Tess Williams, Ariel, Ashley, Alicia, and T. Allen; along with 17 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation for Donald Williams was held at Heritage Funeral Home in Brady, Thursday, November 16, 2017 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral Services were in the chapel at Heritage Funeral Home on Friday, November 17, 2017, starting at 10:00 am. Interment was at the Pear Valley Cemetery. After the burial, there was a dinner to celebrate Donald’s life at the Brady VFW Post which started at 2:00 pm on November 17, 2017.

Pallbearers included: Bryan Marshall, Mark Dillard, Nathan Williams, Kenny Lewis, John Winer, Donald Keith Williams III, and Tanner Shunk.

The family would like to send a special thanks to Hospice of San Angelo for taking care of Donald during his illness. They would also like for donations to be made in his name to Hospice of San Angelo.
