Police warned Columbus-area motorists that the intersection of 25th Street and National Road saw 42 accidents in 2006, making it the most dangerous intersection in the city, especially so as traffic volume increased in December.

The Festival of Lights moved back to its permanent home at Mill Race Park, with more than 20 displays, including an animated train and a ship commemorating the 500th anniversary of Christopher Columbus’ voyage to the New World.

Four tons of clothing collected by area schoolchildren were shipped to the needy in the Appalachian Mountains.
