18-year-old man in apartment shooting in serious condition

A local man was listed in serious condition Sunday after a shooting that took place in a Columbus apartment complex, police said.

The victim in Saturday’s shooting, which occurred just before 3 p.m., was identified as Marquis Corum, 18, who was transported to an unspecified hospital by a medical helicopter, said Lt. Matt Harris, spokesman for the Columbus Police Department.

The shooting occurred inside a residence at the Arbors at Water’s Edge apartment complex, 4060 N. County Road 150W, on the northwest side of the city, Harris said. Corum was shot in the stomach, Harris said.

Columbus police investigators reported that witnesses saw a gray-colored passenger vehicle leave the complex after the shooting, Harris said. The suspect’s vehicle was located in Indianapolis on Saturday night, he said.
